Victorian Mourning Lecture- October 27, 2012

Tea & Tunes – An Afternoon of Elegance and Style Our 8th Annual Tea & Tunes was held February 9, 2013, a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Guests enjoyed a selection of teas and an elegant light luncheon and were able to tour The Banning Museum. Lovely and amazing string music by local artist Maestra Valerie Geller graced the event. Judging from the gorgeous hats and finery many of our guests were wearing, old fashioned elegance truly never goes out of style! “Ada Hancock Maritime Disaster of 1863″– October 11, 2014
Please join Friends of Banning Museum for a special lecture on Saturday, October 11 at 10 am in the historic Stagecoach Barn at the Banning Museum. The Ada Hancock Disaster remains the most tragic loss of life event to take place in the Los Angeles Harbor. Banning Museum Director, Michael Sanborn will lecture on the cause and aftermath that impacted the survivors and the businesses that suffered as a result of the horrific explosion.
